First,
I have to say that the pictures do not reflect the amazing beauty of this
place. One of the great things about it, that cannot be felt in a
picture, is the tranquility and calmness. You can sometimes wander
for a whole day, even in the most crowded season, and meet very few
people, if any. All you need to do is get away from the touristic
attractions, and hike into the marked paths. And then it is so
quiet. So different than New York!

ראשון אני צריך להקדים ולומר, שהתמונות לא משקפות בכלל את היופי המדהים של
המקום הזה. אחד הדברים הנפלאים ביותר שיש שם, ואי אפשר להעביר בתמונה,
זה השקט והשלוה. אתה יכול לפעמים להסתובב יום שלם ולא לראות כמעט אף
אחד. אפילו בעונה הכי עמוסה, שבה ביקרנו. כל מה שצריך זה להתרחק
קצת מהאזורים התיירותיים הרגילים, ולהיכנס קצת לתוך השבילים המסומנים.
ויש שם כזה שקט, כל כך שונה מניו יורק!

This Sequoia tree is really huge, not just because I am small. It is called
"General Sherman" and is considered the biggest living thing on earth
(and it is more than 2,700 years old!!!):
